Boston's historic Fenway Park is a maturing urban neighborhood, with Bolyston Street as one of the focal points of growth. Our goal was to transform a former McDonald's site into a thriving mixed-use development which overlooked the historic Fenway ballpark.
Challenges and Design
Working with the client, our design team created a modern environment within a historic neighborhood. Two terra-cotta clad residential towers in a structural steel frame hover over the Fenway stadium, providing vistas of the surrounding city landscape. Residential units are compact and modern for dense city living. The building provides a mixture of retail and community spaces in addition to 342 residential units. Registered for LEED Gold certification, the Viridian also includes energy-efficient building systems in addition to sustainable amenities.
