WILD TURKEY BOURBON

Wild Turkey Bourbon (WTB) was looking for a design proposal that would reinvent and modernize their brand through an architectural design. During a two-week design sprint, our team studied the WTB brand, history and process of distilling whiskey. Drawing from our research we proposed creating a visitor center that paid homage to the distillery process.

Designer: Ziger/Snead Architects
Time Period: Two Weeks
Location: Lawrenceburg, KY
Role: Branding Strategy, Architectural Designer, Visual Designer

Design Strategy

We drew our material inspiration from the distillery process. A tasting room clad in copper is enclosed by a bold, cantilevered steel box which projects a view out to the Kentucky landscape. Visitors circulate around a limestone core which grounds the building to the surrounding context.

Guest Experience

Guests would circulate through the visitor center via a guided spatial experience.
